Leo loved learning, having fun, and, through travel, experiencing different cultures while teaching others about his. These three important areas –education, recreation, and culture – are the vehicles the Leo A. Moxey Memorial Foundation will use to honor him and keep his memory alive.

"But, a good education will never decay." This adage guided Leo. It was his belief that a “good” education was much more than getting good grades in school. To him, a “good” education meant being empowered to change, for the better, life situations for self and others. The Leo A. Moxey Memorial Foundation is committed to offering and supporting educational programs to improve communities, families, and individuals.

Today we find ourselves in a global economy where competition is at its fiercest levels.This foundation understands the need for higher learning; we not only intend to stimulate the minds of our youth through exciting events but will put in place an infrastructure to benefit the educational growth & development of the disenfranchised within our community. We believe that in order to be successful with such a program…partnerships with the business community must be birthed where they do not exist and strengthened where they do.

Leo believed in living a balanced life. He was a hard working man who loved having fun. The Leo A. Moxey Memorial Foundation recognizes the contribution positive recreational activities to academic, civic, and social development and supports the sponsorship of individual and team sports.

Recreational activities that are well developed and coordinated create comradeship.Incorporating fun, laughter and excitement not only creates strong bonds…but serves to unite a people using a common platform.

Some planned activities are:

• Annual Leo A Moxey Memorial Foundation Cricket Tournament…Member teams – Antigua, Barbados, Combined Islands, Guyana, India, Jamaica, Pakistan, rest of The World
• Domino Tournament…Teams representing the following regions within the state of Florida – North West, North Central, North East, Central West, Central east, South West & South East.
